Thanks to the little sis for sending this one along, a very nice collection of the best street art from 2011. I’m sure we are about to get inundated with “best of 2011″ links, but this one was pretty unique.
So this is fantastic, although I would hate this if I was a neighbor…
A great impromptu dance performance by Les Twins which I think is pronounced Less (yeah I took French) you may have seen them on but I think this performance is significantly better
I’m not a huge fan of the outfits but it is a great routine and they have to have some serious endurance to pull it off. It is part of an audition process forĀ Juste Debout a worldwide street dancing festival which I definitely need to learn more about.
This was the winner of the Tropfest Short Film Festival so I’m thinking it is worthy of a post.

Harkening back to the old school video game style the folks over at Dreamhack Kreativ have created an impressive stop motion video made entirely of coins. I took a valiant shot at creating good stop motion recently and respect the time and effort it takes to put something like this together a WHOLE LOT more now. They even have a great behind the scenes section starting around the 3:10 mark.
Someone had a very cool idea and took the frame of reference usually used by high speed cameras and turned it around. Instead of taking pictures of something moving fast they put the camera on a high speed train and taped the platform, very cool effect.

I don’t know how they were able to get all this great video but the effect of speeding up large crowds this way is pretty amazing. It also really makes me want to go to a music festival soon.
I’ve always been a huge Banksy fan, he has put together some really great and innovate graffiti art. Not going to lie though, the intro he put together for The Simpsons is just a liiiiiiiiiiittle depressing.
