Shaq and Kobe

Kottke.org has a interesting look at the new NBA commercials showing players isolated from the crowds.

Bryant creates 95% of the offense here by crossing Pippen over and throwing a perfect lob to O’Neal. O’Neal throws it down and the camera follows him as he heads down the court yelling in celebration, totally blowing right past Kobe, who has his hand out to high-five Shaq. Kobe half-heartedly grabs at O’Neal’s forearm as he passes; Shaq doesn’t even notice.

Eminem

Not sure I’m in love with his new album yet but still love Eminem freestyling…

Connecting Keyword to Purchase

Mediapost reports on how marketers are increasingly understanding the connection between online queries and offline purchases. It is the everpresent quandry of how you connect what people are searching for with what they are actually buying. The question becomes more complicated with larger purchases that have a extended buying timline like a car. Specifically targeting what people are searching six months prior to a purchase and how often the visit OEM sites in contrast to third-party vendors. With ever stretched marketing budgets understanding behaviors like these could be a gold mine for Google.

Weather Alert

Britain is set for the hottest day of the year so far. I’m just putting this out there because if anyone in the States has any friends in the UK, make sure to let them know they will need sunscreen, sunglasses, possibly an umbrella to protect form the sun, and other heat protection attire. Be careful because temperatures will be soaring and no one wants to suffer from heat stroke.

RunPee

This one is for Lesley Ross, RunPee is a site that tells you exact moments during movies to run to the bathroom and then what happened while you were gone.
